Job mission:

To be the IT lead for our clients EMEA Retail Business & Amsterdam Office

Major accountabilities:

  • To own and pro-actively manage the EPOS system for EMEA Retail
  • Liaise with 3rd party EPOS provider, where necessary, and NB’s retail EPOS “Project Leads” on any / all new retail EPOS initiatives
  • Drive the merging of the retail channel with ecommerce to create a truly Omni digital experience
  • Understand ERP / EPOS interfaces and be able to monitor and amend, in conjunction with Applications team, when necessary
  • Assist and engage DTC team with support and development of the ecomm environment
  • To provide support and ensure timely resolution to any & all call’s logged via retail associates and locally based office staff
  • Effective communication with associates to ensure full details are gathered on the nature of any helpdesk calls raised to ensure that appropriate resources are assigned to it
  • Ensure systems and processes are in place to manage calls with appropriate escalation
  • Procurement, configuration and installation of IT equipment to fully support the retail network including but not exhaustive to laptops, desktops, printers, switches and firewall’s
  • Log calls with third parties and consultants and follow up to ensure resolution takes place in a timely manner
  • Liaise with global IT teams to manage and maintain on site IT Services
  • Ensure prompt and regular feedback to line manager
  • Identify inefficiencies and introduce IT solutions by managing and scoping projects
  • Streamline existing ISP Base in European Retail stores, ensure maximum efficiency, control costs ensuring that existing, in store, bandwidth capabilities are maximized for efficiency
  • Proactively and independently keeping up to date with leading technology

Requirements for Success:

  • Educated to degree level and worked in an IT environment for a period of 5+ years.
  • Based in Amsterdam, but must be willing to travel throughout Europe and the UK as frequent travel is expected.
  • Knowledge of POS systems required.
  • SQL knowledge an advantage.
  • Knowledge of implementing new systems.
  • Active Directory and general networking experience required.
  • Must be good at organising, prioritising and time management, with attention to detail.
  • Project management required.
  • Continuous improvement minded

Communication:

  • Management of telephone calls and written communications are prompt and professional at all times
  • All critical communications with retail associates are recorded and reported as appropriate
  • Ensure positive relationships and effective Customer Service
  • Pro-active communication to retail associates
  • Ensure communication within team and the wider business is effective, relevant and timely; managed with appropriate courtesy.
