In a leading innovative organization as our client, it is essential that employees can work in an optimal way and that security is guaranteed. As an IT Specialist you ensure that colleagues can rely on their software and hardware and that sales colleagues can move fast. The position is sometimes hectic and always alternating. You support an international group of colleagues, who have different professional backgrounds, in the Dutch office and have helpdesk responsibilities for those of Poland and Denmark.

You are the only IT professional located in the Netherlands. But you are part of a team that in several locations work hard to both offer the best support and to streamline and reduce complexity of IT systems.

The organisation has facilities in Denmark, the Netherlands, Vietnam, the Philippines, Poland, USA and China, wherefrom our (more than 5300) colleagues work together across all the locations.

Your tasks and responsibilities
As an IT Specialist you hold several roles. As a system administrator you install and set up hardware and phones and you provide computer capacity, access codes and rights to the users of the network. As a software manager you install new or enhanced versions of software and support the users.

As a helpdesk officer you solve IT issues and identify recurrent or complex problems that need to be solved on another level. And finally, as a business interface you identify the requirements for hardware and software, train new users or employees in the optimal use of our IT infrastructure.

Your profile

  • IT problem solving skills and knowledge of troubleshooting tools, gained by an IT education on at least vocational (MBO) level and at least 1 year of experience of IT support within an organization
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft product including Microsoft SharePoint
  • General understanding of IT networking and Microsoft Windows operating systems clients and servers ”File and Print services”
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory services, object management and maintenance
  • Professional communication and interpersonal skills, in both English and Dutch
  • Customer service orientation
  • Team player and able to work independently
  • Systematic: easily learn new software
