IT Recruitment is looking for her client NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) for a Solution Engineer. Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join The Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area. The AirC2 Centre delivers planning, development, procurement, implementation and In-Service Support of NATO authorised AirC2 capabilities across the Alliance and bilaterally in the European Nations of the Alliance, satisfying the operational requirements, assuring the coherence, integrity and interoperability of the involved NATO and national systems and sub-systems.In doing so, the AirC2 Centre contributes to NATO’s Integrated Air and Missile Defence operations and continuously evolves NATO authorised systems and services to empower seamless, resilient and adaptable NATO operations in a multi domain environment.
We are now recruiting for a Solution Engineer to bring expertise to The AirC2 System Products Service area, which is dedicated to the development, deployment, maintenance, and support of NATO’s integrated air command and control systems. Our team of AirC2 experts deliver integrated products essential for NATO’s 24/7 air defense missions. We ensure the complete life-cycle support of these critical systems, providing comprehensive services for incident management, exercise support, data management, training and sensor tuning.
We are seeking expertise in the following areas:
- Solution architecture
- Requirements definition and management
- Technical Contract management
- Systems development management
Education:
- A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.
- Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of system/software engineering recent experience in the analysis, design, development or maintenance of large-scale distributed software-intensive transaction processing or management support systems (like management information-, decision support systems, etc).
- General up-to-date knowledge and experience of operating systems, computer system architectures, hardware and firmware, client/server, virtualization, containerization, LAN/WAN and network concepts.
- Experience in the translation of user requirements into system design/software architecture artefacts;
- Experience in the Software development of large-scale distributed software
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages, database management systems (DBMS) and data management concepts.
- Knowledge and experience of automated tools supporting system engineering activities.
- Knowledge and experience of system documentation for requirements, design, integration and test.
- Knowledge and experience in system troubleshooting and change request analysis.
